WHAT WE DO
Training & Workshops
Young adults are often a forgotten group, caught between childhood and adulthood, expected to know the way forward without ever being shown the path. In Kenya, many of them carry the weight of supporting their families before they’ve had the chance to build their own foundation. We believe they still deserve support, opportunities, and a chance to grow. At Hadithi, we’re committed to helping them build a future they’re proud of, one skill, one story, and one step at a time.

Carpentry
Through hands-on training in auto mechanics, young men gain both practical skills and a sense of purpose in partnership with Amati Auto Clinic.
By learning carpentry, students follow in the footsteps of Jesus—creating with intention, dignity, and strength.
Our baking classes provide youth with employable skills and the opportunity to nourish their communities with real, healthy bread.
Art and photography classes awaken imagination and healing, reminding students they are made in the image of a creative God.
Coming Soon! We hope to equip young women with sewing and weaving skills that empower them to provide for their families with pride and purpose.
Automotive Skills Training
In partnership with Paul, founder of Amati and a trusted friend of Hadithi, we provide automotive training for young men who are eager to learn a hands-on trade. At Amati Auto Clinic, students gain real-world experience working with cars, learning everything from basic maintenance to more advanced mechanical skills. This training not only equips them with employable skills but also offers mentorship and a sense of direction in a season of life that can feel uncertain.

Carpentry & Craftsmanship
For those interested in working with their hands and building from the ground up, we also offer carpentry training. From measuring and cutting to assembling and finishing, students learn how to craft functional, beautiful pieces from raw materials. Carpentry is not only a valuable trade—it’s a way for young people to create something lasting, useful, and full of purpose.
Simply Baked: Bread & Business
Through our partnership with Simply Baked, we offer baking classes focused on sourdough bread—an affordable, healthy, and marketable product. The goal is to empower young adults with a skill they can turn into a small business. We hope to help them open micro-bakeries in the slums where they live, providing clean, naturally made bread at a price their communities can afford. It’s a win-win: meaningful employment and healthier food options for underserved neighborhoods.

Through the Lens of Creativity
We also offer art and photography classes that focus less on technical perfection and more on creative freedom. These classes, open to both children and young adults, are designed to restore imagination, foster expression, and give space for healing. Poverty often robs children of play and creativity—these classes offer a different way to see the world and themselves.

Coming Soon:
Sewing & Weaving Initiative
We’re in the process of creating a sewing and weaving program, designed especially with young women and mothers in mind. Many of them are raising children as single mothers while trying to build their own future. This initiative will provide practical skills they can use to earn income through the sale of handmade products. Our vision is to create a cycle of empowerment—where young women are able to support their families with dignity and purpose.
Frequently Asked Questions
01 What happens when someone finishes a training program?

Graduates receive a certificate of completion and the practical knowledge to carry their skill into real-world opportunities. If someone struggles to find work, we do our best to walk alongside them—offering guidance, connections, or even helping launch a small business.
02 Are these trainings open to anyone?

Our programs are designed for youth and young adults, especially those from underserved communities or without access to formal education. We prioritize those who show interest and commitment.
03 How long do the workshops last?

The length of each program varies depending on the skill being taught. Some classes (like art or photography) may be short-term and flexible, while others (like automotive or baking) run for several weeks to a few months.
04 Do students have to pay to join?

No, our goal is to make every opportunity accessible. Most of our programs are free for participants, made possible through the generosity of donors and partners. We are constantly in need of support to keep these programs running and to expand them to reach more youth. If you're interested in helping fund a student's future, we’d love to connect.
05 Can participants sell what they make?

Yes! In programs like baking, sewing, and carpentry, our goal is to help students create products they can sell. We support them in setting up small businesses or getting connected to markets where they can thrive.
06 Who teaches the trainings?

We partner with experienced local professionals like Paul and his team (automotive) and Simply Baked (ran by our friend Neil and his team), who are not only skilled in their trade but also passionate about mentoring the next generation. Our founders are also hands-on: Samantha teaches photography, while Kelvin leads art and carpentry workshops. Each training is tailored to be practical, empowering, and rooted in relationship.
07 If I donate to the trainings, where does my money go?
